November 2006 - Key members of the international Business Process Management (BPM) standards community came together at a series of workshops held in Tokyo, Taipei and Singapore presented by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC). The Asia Tour was sponsored by WfMC members TIBCO and Fujitsu, and hosted by local members and chapter leaders NEC Soft and BPMF-Japan, Flowring, and Bizmann. More than 500 participants listened to industry experts discuss a wide range of subjects relevant to BPM and Workflow systems. Topics included everything from general overviews of the BPM market, to specific detailed presentations regarding industry standards. Presenters included: Robert Shapiro, Chair of WfMC Interface 1 (XPDL); Keith Swenson, WfMC Technical Committee Chairman; Dr Michael zur Muehlen, Stevens Institute of Technology; Justin Brunt, WfMC Vice Chairman; Ken Mei, Director of Technical Marketing, Global 360; Dr Pallab Saha, Project Specialist, ISS-National University of Singapore; and Ken Loke, WfMC Chairperson for Singapore and Malaysia; and Yoshihisa Sadakane, WfMC Vice Chairman, Panpacific Region.
