Joining the Workflow Management Coalition
gives you the opportunity to participate in the creation of the
standards for the workflow industry as they are developing. Because the Coalition has active members
from all sectors of the industry, we provide a rich and exciting
forum for the exchange and evolution of ideas. View recently published
documents and the schedule of upcoming documents on our Standards
Page.
Work in Progress documents from the various
active working groups are available in the Members Only area,
however.
To become a member of the Coalition and
benefit from our exchange of information, networking and standards
influence, please review the grid below to select your level of
membership, complete the Application Form and read the Document
of Understanding (DOU). The DOU explains the mission of the Coalition
and the role that its members play in the industry. It is an integral
part of WfMC membership.
We look forward to welcoming you as a
new member and encourage your active participation. This is your
chance to help influence the future of this industry and network
with the leading players.

Full Membership is appropriate for workflow
and Business Process Management (BPM) vendors, analysts and consultants.
You may include up to three active members from your organization
on your application and these may be replaced at any time by notifying
us accordingly.
All employees worldwide are welcome to
attend all meetings, and will be permitted access to the Members
Only area of our web site. The password is provided to the Primary
contact and may be distributed within the organization, with the
understanding to exercise due caution in protecting the password
and the confidentiality of the information found within.
This corporate category offers exclusive
visibility in this sector at events and seminars across the world,
enhancing your customers' perception of you as an industry authority,
on our web site, in the Coalition Handbook and CDROM, by speaking
opportunities, access to the Members Only area of our web site,
attending the Coalition meetings and most importantly within the
workgroups whereby through discussion and personal involvement,
using your voting power, you can contribute actively to the development
of standards and interfaces.
Full member benefits include:
|
•
|
Financial
incentives - 50% discount all brochure-ware (such as our
annual CDROM Companion to the Workflow Handbook, advertising
on our sister-site www.e-workflow.org), $500 credit toward
next year’s fee for at least 60% per year meeting attendance
or if you serve as an officer of the WfMC. |
| • |
Web Visibility
- a paragraph on your company services/products with links
to your own company website. |
|
•
|
User RFIs
- (Requests for Information) is an exclusive privilege to
all full members. We often have queries from user organisations
looking for specific BPM solutions. These valuable leads
can result in real business benefits for your organization.
|
|
•
|
Publicity
– full members may choose to have their company logos including
collaterals displayed along with WfMC material at conferences
/ expos we attend. You may also list corporate events and
press releases (relating to WfMC issues) on the relevant pages
on the website, and have a company entry in the annual Coalition
Workflow Handbook. |
|
•
|
Speaking
Opportunities - We frequently receive calls for speakers
at industry events because many of our members are recognized
experts in their fields. These opportunities are forwarded
to Full Members for their direct response to the respective
conference organizers. |
Associate and Academic Membership is appropriate
for those (such as IT user organizations) who need to keep abreast
of workflow developments, but who are not workflow vendors. It
allows voting on decision-making issues, including the publication
of standards and interfaces but does not permit anything near
the amount of visibility or incentives provided to a Full Member.
You may include up to three active members from your organization
on your application and these may be replaced at any time by notifying
us accordingly.
All employees worldwide are welcome to attend all meetings, and
will be permitted access to the Members Only area of our web site.
The password is provided to the Primary contact and may be distributed
within the organization, with the understanding to exercise due
caution in protecting the password and the confidentiality of
the information found within.
Individual Membership is appropriate for
self-employed persons or small user companies. Employees of workflow
vendors, academic institutions or analyst organizations are not
eligible for this category. Individual membership is held in one
person's name only, is not a corporate membership, and is not
transferable within the company. The password to the 'members
only' area is given to the individual only and is not transferable.
If three or more people within a company wish to participate in
the WfMC, it would be cost-effective to upgrade to corporate Associate
Membership whereby all employees worldwide are granted membership
status.
The WfMC recognizes individuals from within
its existing membership who have made sustained and outstanding
contributions to WfMC objectives far and above that expected from
normal member representation. Fellows are nominated by voting
members and then elected into this category. For eligibility,
see Fellows - Factors
We welcome visitors at our meetings; it
is an excellent opportunity for you to observe first hand the
process of creating standards and to network with members of the
Coalition.
Your role will be as an observer only,
and you are not eligible for a password, or for special offers
available to WfMC members. You must pre-register and prepay your
Visitor attendance fee. If you decide to join WfMC within 30 days
of the meeting, your membership dues will be credited with your
visitor fee.
If you would like further information
or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact
us or your Country Chair.
The members-only section of the WfMC website
is a content-rich area containing internal news items, RFIs, meeting
